Softball Recap: Conard Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Conard took a nine-run defeat the last time they faced off against Windsor, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Red Wolves sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Warriors on Wednesday. This was payback for the Red Wolves, who suffered a 9-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Conard pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Windsor, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Conard will be playing at home against South Windsor at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Windsor, they will head out to face off against Maloney at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
