Softball Recap: Braden River Pirates vs. Bayshore Bruins

In what's become a running theme this season, Braden River gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They never let the Bayshore Bruins onto the board and left with a 13-0 victory. The win was just what Braden River needed coming off of an 11-0 loss in their prior contest.

Meghan Dillingham made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Dillingham has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive pitching appearances. Dillingham was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

In other batting news, Braden River got a massive performance out of Sheila Moreno, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Chloe Russell, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Braden River's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Bayshore, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

As for Bayshore, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Saint Stephen's Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bayshore is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
