Volleyball Recap: Buna's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Monday

If Buna was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Kountze on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warren Warriors on Monday. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 23-25, 25-15, 25-22.

Raylee Harding paced Buna's offense, picking up 12 kills. Harding got some help from Alyssa Stanley and her 12 assists. Cecilee Ford controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Buna moved to 21-20 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for Warren, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 26-15.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Buna will take on Huntington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Warren, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hardin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
