Softball Recap: Water Canyon Comes Up Short

Water Canyon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 25th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the South Sevier Rams, falling 22-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 last Tuesday.

Water Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for South Sevier, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Water Canyon Wildcats challenge Panguitch Bobcats at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Water Canyon's pitchers better be ready for this one: Panguitch has averaged an impressive 14 runs per game this season. As for South Sevier, they will venture away from home to face off against Beaver at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
