Soccer Game Preview: Pleasant Grove vs. Sheldon

The Pleasant Grove Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Sheldon Huskies at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Pleasant Grove is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Valley just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Sheldon kept a clean sheet against Elk Grove on Wednesday. They skirted past the Thundering Herd 1-0. The Huskies' winning goal came courtesy of Emmanuel Alvarez.

Sheldon's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matches. As for Pleasant Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Pleasant Grove beat Sheldon 3-1 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Does Pleasant Grove have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sheldon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
