Softball Game Preview: Foothill Knights vs. Trabuco Hills Mustangs

The Foothill Knights will challenge the Trabuco Hills Mustangs at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Foothill is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Foothill saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of Gahr by a score of 10-9.

Violet Bonnet and Brooklyn Austin did some serious damage despite the final result: Bonnet went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double, while Austin scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those four RBI gave Bonnet a new career-high. Rodriguez Haley was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Trabuco Hills got themselves on the board against Troy on Tuesday, but Troy never followed suit. They walked away with a 3-0 win over the Warriors. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Mustangs yet this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Trabuco Hills and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs over those games. As for Foothill, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
