Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arlington). They put the hurt on the Centerville Tornadoes with a sharp 15-1 win on Saturday. The Cardinals not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since May 14, 2024 (when they won 19-3).

Arlington's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Centerville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Arlington wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 19-3 defeat against Alcester-Hudson on the 26th. As for Centerville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-2 loss against Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy on the 26th.
