Soccer Game Preview: Excelsior Charter vs. Riverside Prep

Excelsior Charter hasn't had much luck against Riverside Prep recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Excelsior Charter Eagles will host the Riverside Prep Silver Knights at 1:00 p.m.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Excelsior Charter's offense. They lost 7-0 to Paraclete back in December of 2024. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 680th, while the Spirits are ranked 93rd).

Meanwhile, Riverside Prep had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They never let Rim of the World onto the board and left with a 2-0 win last Saturday.

This is the second loss in a row for Excelsior Charter and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Riverside Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.
