            Alta dropped their record down to 16-5 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the Brighton Bengals by a score of  5-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bengals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  5-3  on Tuesday.
  Crew Scheel was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 3-for-4 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI. Another player making a difference was  McCoy Johnson, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  run and one  RBI.
As for Brighton, they pushed their record up to 19-2 with the  win, which was their 23rd straight  at home dating back to last season. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.9 runs over those games.
On Brighton's side,  Cooper Scott made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he  pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit.  Back at the plate,  Easton Fry and  River Schmidt did most of the damage at the plate:  Fry  went 1-for-3 with one  home run and three  RBI, while  Schmidt  went a perfect 2-for-2 with three  runs and one  triple.
While Alta had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
