Softball Game Preview: Trinity Raiders vs. Ohio County Eagles

The Trinity Raiders will venture away from home to face off against the Ohio County Eagles at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Trinity and five for Ohio County.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Trinity's offense. They fell 3-0 to Edmonson County on Thursday.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Friday as neither Ohio County nor Russellville made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Eagles fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 4-3.

Addyson Graves (2025) spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Haley Patton (2027) was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Hadlee Canty (2025), who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Ohio County now has a losing record of 14-15-1. As for Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.
