Baseball Preview: Dimmitt Bobcats vs. Ropes Eagles
The Dimmitt Bobcats will be taking part in a tournament against the Ropes Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Dimmitt is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.
Dimmitt barely beat Lockney the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Dimmitt came out on top against Lockney on Monday by a score of 13-3 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Longhorns recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Rudy Fuentes made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Fuentes was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That double was his first of the season.
