Volleyball Recap: Mt. Zion Takes a Loss

Mt. Zion was the 2-0 winner over Peoria Notre Dame when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Braves fell 2-0 to the Irish on Friday.

Angela McCoy paced Mt. Zion's offense, picking up five kills. McCoy got some help from Kendall Smith and her nine assists.

Mt. Zion's loss dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Peoria Notre Dame, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season.

Mt. Zion has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Morton on the 11th. As for Peoria Notre Dame, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Williamsville on the 11th.
