Recap: John Paul II Catholic Saints vs. Wake Prep Academy Guardians
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Raleigh Christian Academy, the John Paul II Catholic Saints were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Wake Prep Academy 78-38 at home.
John Paul II Catholic found their leader in underclassman Caleb Knight , who scored 24 points along with 6 assists and 6 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamal Biggs, who scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
John Paul II Catholic's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Wake Prep Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. John Paul II Catholic will take on Liberty Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Liberty Christian Academy is on a three-game streak of home losses, John Paul II Catholic a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for Wake Prep Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Wakefield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
