Basketball Recap: Nute Takes a Loss

If Nute was riding high fresh off their 60-18 takedown of Mount Royal Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Nute Rams were outmatched by the Portsmouth Christian Academy Eagles and fell 56-27. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 69-41 back in January.

Nute has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Portsmouth Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Looking ahead, Nute will challenge Farmington at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Farmington will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Nute surely won't give up without a fight. As for Portsmouth Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Newmarket at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Newmarket will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Portsmouth Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
