Clearfield had won four straight at home, but on Monday they bumped their record up to 9-9 to make it five. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Bountiful RedHawks 12-10. The Falcons' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The team relied heavily on Hudson Meyer, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, one double, and one RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Colt Chambers, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Clearfield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They are 4-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

As for Bountiful, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-10. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly two runs.
