Softball Preview: Ball Tornadoes vs. La Porte Bulldogs
Ball hasn't had much luck against La Porte recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Ball Tornadoes will be playing in front of their home fans against the La Porte Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. Ball will be strutting in after a victory while La Porte will be coming in after a defeat.
Ball is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victor by an 11-5 margin over Galena Park on Saturday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tornadoes needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Klarisa Martinez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Addison Hopkins was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing Two bases. while going 4-for-4. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kynidee Pope, who scored a run while going 2-for-5.
Ball kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, La Porte unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 8-4 to Angleton.
La Porte saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kynlee Arachiga, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Ball's win bumped their record up to 3-12. As for La Porte, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3-1.
