Basketball Game Preview: Rockbridge County Wildcats vs. William Monroe Dragons

The Rockbridge County Wildcats will head out to face off against the William Monroe Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Rockbridge County has struggled recently with 14 defeats in a row, while William Monroe will arrive with four straight wins.

Rockbridge County came up short against Turner Ashby on Tuesday, falling 70-50.

Meanwhile, William Monroe didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Harrisonburg on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 69-63 victory. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while the Blue Streaks are ranked 348th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rockbridge County's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for William Monroe, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
