Volleyball Recap: Varela Triumphs + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Archbishop Carroll, Varela was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Southridge Spartans 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Vipers in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won eight in a row.

Varela was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-20, 25-13.

Varela's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Southridge, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Varela will take on Braddock at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southridge, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Coral Park on the 27th.
