Volleyball Recap: Tuscola Mountaineers vs. Brevard Blue Devils

Tuscola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Brevard Blue Devils, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Tuscola took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-14, 25-20.

Their offense was headlined by Emma Duncan and Samantha Horton, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Stella Yarrington and her nine assists. Finally, Horton was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Addison Worley was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 12 digs and two aces. What's more, she racked up six assists, the most she's had since back in September.

Tuscola's loss dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Brevard, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-9.
