Basketball Recap: Edgewood-Colesburg Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

The third road match was the charm for Edgewood-Colesburg, as they earned their first road win of the season. They snuck past the Central City Wildcats with a 56-50 victory on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Edgewood-Colesburg's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Central City, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Edgewood-Colesburg will face off against East Buchanan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Central City, they will take on Nashua-Plainfield at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Nashua-Plainfield knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Central City likes a good challenge.
