Basketball Recap: West Carroll Thunder vs. Warren Warriors
West Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 82-57 to the Warren Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunder this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-52 back in January.
Warren got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Treyton Pafford out in front who went 8 of 19 on his way to 21 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. That's the most assists Pafford has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Bryce VanRaalte, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards.
West Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Warren, their record now sits at 20-7.
Coming up, West Carroll is taking a road trip to take on Scales Mound at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Scales Mound will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something West Carroll surely won't give up without a fight. As for Warren, they will challenge River Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
