Baseball Preview: Pekin Dragons vs. Limestone Rockets
For the second straight game, Pekin will face off against Limestone. The Dragons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Pekin is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Limestone on Monday. They fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 2-1. The Dragons haven't had much luck with the Rockets recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
For Limestone's part, Hunter Long spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 14 Ks. Long has become a key player for the Rockets: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most two hits, but 11-12 otherwise.
