Baseball Recap: Lower Richland Comes Up Short

Lower Richland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 18-3 to the Wilson Tigers.

Tyler Robinson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Jametris Scarborough was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

Lower Richland's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7-1. As for Wilson, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5.

Looking ahead, Wilson will host Hartsville at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Foxes have averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season. Lower Richland will be paying especially close attention to Wilson's matchup: after Wilson faces off against Hartsville, they'll take on Lower Richland again at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
