Volleyball Recap: Allen Beats Plano East for Their Fifth Straight Win

Allen had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Plano East Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since November 15, 2024.

Allen was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 20-25, 21-25, 25-19, 15-12.

Maya Ogbogu paced Allen's offense, picking up 34 kills. Ogbogu got some help from Landry McRae and her 39 assists. McRae was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Allen's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Plano East, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-2.

Coming up, Allen will take on Horn on Friday. As for Plano East, they will be taking part in a tournament against Sachse at 10:15 a.m. on Friday.
