Cloquet had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 win over the Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats on Friday. This was payback for the Lumberjacks, who suffered a 10-9 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Luca Gentilini was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Those RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season. Mason Robbins was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Cloquet always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Cloquet picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-6. As for Chisago Lakes Area, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-6.
