Baseball Game Preview: Lincoln Trojans vs. Davis Sr. Blue Devils

The Lincoln Trojans will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Davis Sr. Blue Devils at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Lincoln is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They fell just short of Jesuit by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Trojans have suffered since March 20, 2024.

Lincoln got a good showing from Joey Victor, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

Meanwhile, Davis Sr. didn't have quite enough to beat Christian Brothers on Thursday and fell 3-2.

Davis Sr. saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Larsen, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Lincoln skirted past Davis Sr. 1-0 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Does Lincoln have another victory up their sleeve, or will Davis Sr. turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
