El Dorado extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 3-1. They took down the Catholic Rockets 49-31. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 26-6 victory the Rockets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

El Dorado had a senior duo take command as Cannon Jacobs rushed for 92 yards and four TDs on only ten carries and Jeremy Samuel rushed for 203 yards and one touchdown while picking up 9.7 yards per carry.

El Dorado was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 295 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Catholic only rushed for 150.

As for Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3. On the bright side, the 31- point performance marked their highest-scoring matchup to date.

When it comes to explaining why Catholic lost, don't look at Phillips Blair. Despite the final result, he rushed for 55 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 254 yards and a pair of TDs on only 18 passes. Another player making a difference was Ben Gassaway, who picked up 125 receiving yards and one touchdown.
