Baseball Recap: Orangewood Christian Makes It Seven in a Row at Home

Orangewood Christian's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. They never let the Father Lopez Green Wave get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rams also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Max Sakala looked comfortable as he struck out 11 batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Austin Wendorf, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Jack Benson was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
