Baseball Recap: Maricopa Comes Up Short

Maricopa lost against ALA - Queen Creek two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Maricopa Rams lost 12-2 to the ALA - Queen Creek Patriots. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maricopa saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Travis Varela, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That RBI was Varela's first of the season.

Maricopa's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for ALA - Queen Creek, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Looking ahead, Maricopa will be taking part in a tournament against Mesa at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. As for ALA - Queen Creek, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will face off against McClintock at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
