Shady Spring waltzed into their game on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Everything went their way against the Summers County Bobcats as they made off with a 14-4 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.
Shady Spring got a massive performance out of Cutter Boggs, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Boggs has posted over his last eight contests. Brody Seabolt also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Shady Spring hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Summers County struck out six times.
Shady Spring pushed their record up to 17-10-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Summers County, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-18-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shady Spring will face off against Winfield at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Summers County, they will square off against Greenbrier West at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
