Basketball Recap: Covington Takes a Loss

Covington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Ponchatoula Green Wave 63-18. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

They used a three-pronged attack on offense: Brookln Baham, Leniesha Burris, and Anamaria Cerniglia posted four points each.

Covington's record is now 7-15. As for Ponchatoula, they pushed their record up to 20-11 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Covington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 32-30 defeat against Hammond on the 7th. As for Ponchatoula, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 48-45 win against Mandeville on the 7th.
