Recap: Tyler Classical Academy Eagles vs. King's Academy Knights
The Tyler Classical Academy Eagles lost against the King's Academy Knights back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Tyler Classical Academy took a hard 55-38 fall against King's Academy. Tyler Classical Academy has not had much luck with King's Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
It was another big night for Evan Hellwig, who scored 16 points along with six steals and five rebounds for King's Academy. Hellwig is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Everett Hollis was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Tyler Classical Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for King's Academy, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-16.
Tyler Classical Academy the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd. As for King's Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Marshall Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
