Baseball Game Preview: Dan River Wildcats vs. William Campbell Generals

The Dan River Wildcats will square off against the William Campbell Generals at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Dan River's offense. They fell just short of Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, William Campbell didn't have quite enough to beat Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy on Friday and fell 9-8.

This is the second loss in a row for Dan River and nudges their season record down to 8-10. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for William Campbell, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.
