Baseball Recap: North Arlington Comes Up Short

After flying high against Weehawken on Friday, North Arlington came back down to earth. The Vikings took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saddle Brook Falcons on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 6-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

North Arlington saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Rosamilia, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one triple. Rosamilia is becoming a predictor of the Vikings' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-2 (and 3-12 when he doesn't).

North Arlington has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. As for Saddle Brook, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Arlington will welcome Harrison at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings are facing the Blue Tide at the right time seeing as the Blue Tide are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Saddle Brook, they will face off against Ridgefield Memorial at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
