Basketball Game Preview: Pickens Dragons vs. Jenkins Warriors

The Pickens Dragons will face off against the Jenkins Warriors on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Pickens comes in on 12 and Jenkins on seven.

Pickens is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They strolled past Calhoun with points to spare, taking the game 74-55. The Dragons pushed the score to 57-36 by the end of the third, a deficit the Yellow Jackets cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Jenkins was able to grind out a solid win over Jefferson on Friday, taking the game 47-38. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Warriors' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 117th, while the Dragons are ranked 32nd).

Pickens' win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 27-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.9 points over those games. As for Jenkins, their victory bumped their record up to 19-8.
