Basketball Recap: Douglas' Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Douglas proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 28) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 42-39 victory over the Sutherlin Bulldogs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Trojans have posted since January 7th.

The victory was the third in a row for Douglas, bringing their record for this year to 12-10. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points over those games. As for Sutherlin, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Douglas will face off against South Umpqua at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sutherlin, they will take on Coquille at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
