Softball Recap: Simeon Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Simeon barely beat Perspectives Leadership/Technology the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wolverines blew past the Warriors 27-15 on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Wolverines, who have now won eight contests in a row.

Simeon got a massive performance out of Mia Holcombe, who fired off two home runs, nine stolen bases, and seven RBI while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave Holcombe a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariyah Black, who went 3-for-4 with 13 stolen bases, seven RBI, and four runs.

Simeon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .778. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Simeon's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.3 runs over those games. As for Perspectives Leadership/Technology, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

Coincidentally, Simeon and Perspectives Leadership/Technology will both be playing Richards the next time they take the field. The Warriors will head out to face the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Wolverines will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
