The biggest upset of the week belonged to Santana, who defeated 720th ranked El Cajon Valley, 35-0.
Mount Miguel extended the longest winning streak in Grossmont - Valley this week by beating Monte Vista, 35-12. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Matadors.
Mount Miguel's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brad Moreno threw for 129 and 1 touchdown and Alexis Blanco had 57 yards receiving. On the ground Ben Lomibao contributed 149 yards. Jovon Richardson helped Mount Miguel's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 50 yards.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, El Capitan's Brad Cagle and Scott Root have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-11 quarterback Cagle has thrown for 1,654 yards this season, while Root has 25 catches for 639 yards. Lomibao from the Matadors leads the league in rushing with 875 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Mount Miguel takes on the Braves. The Matadors are currently in second, while El Cajon Valley is in fourth.
The Sultans moved up to 685 from 816 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Grossmont - Valley. Santana was able to move up by defeating Norman Whitehead's team 35-0.
