Berthoud takes loss despite strong efforts from Rory Carr and Avery Pfohl

Recap: Berthoud Spartans vs. Resurrection Christian Cougars

The Berthoud Spartans suffered their biggest defeat since December 7, 2023 on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Resurrection Christian, falling 69-42. While losing is never fun, Berthoud can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 216th, while Resurrection Christian is ranked 46th).

Berthoud's loss came despite strong showings from Avery Pfohl and Rory Carr. Pfohl scored 17 points along with three steals, while Carr scored eight points along with three steals. Pfohl has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Resurrection Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Olivia Klein, who scored 19 points along with two steals.
