Volleyball Recap: Winfield Warriors vs. Holt Indians
Winfield was the 2-0 winner over Holt when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Winfield Warriors fell just short of the Holt Indians by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Winfield took Holt into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking ten-point loss. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-18, 20-25, 25-21, 15-5.
Holt got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cameran Ebert out in front who had 11 digs. Dakota Wilson was another key player, hitting 61.5% for 14 digs, eight kills, and three aces.
Winfield's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Holt, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.
Winfield will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Seckman at 4:45 p.m. As for Holt, they will play host again on Monday to welcome Timberland, where the match is scheduled at 5:30 p.m.
