Volleyball Recap: West Florida Takes a Loss

West Florida was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Pensacola Tigers, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jaguars of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

West Florida was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-14, 25-22.

West Florida's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Pensacola, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-3.

West Florida wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Elberta on the 9th. As for Pensacola, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Escambia on the 9th.
