Soccer Game Preview: Marshall vs. Nacogdoches

Marshall is 0-8 against Nacogdoches since February of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Mavericks will head out to face off against the Dragons at 7:00 p.m. Marshall will be strutting in after a win while Nacogdoches will be coming in after a loss.

Marshall is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They walked away with a 5-3 victory over Whitehouse on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Marshall.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Nacogdoches was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They fell just short of Mt. Pleasant by a score of 1-0. The defeat continues a trend for Nacogdoches in their meetings with Mt. Pleasant: they've now lost four in a row.

Nacogdoches' loss dropped their record down to 11-5-3. As for Marshall, their win bumped their record up to 7-9-3.

Marshall couldn't quite get it done against Nacogdoches when the teams last played back in January as they fell 2-0. Can the Mavericks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
