Adrian/Ellsworth took a 15-run loss the last time they faced off against Luverne, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Dragons came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cardinals on Monday, sneaking past 8-7. For the Dragons, this counts as revenge for the 17-2 win the Cardinals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Adrian/Ellsworth is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Luverne, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Adrian/Ellsworth wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 14-9 victory against Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove on the 15th. As for Luverne, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-8 win against Worthington on the 13th.
