Football Recap: Cross County Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Boone Central, Cross County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They skirted past the St. Paul Wildcats 22-20. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 61-6 defeat the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2017.

Sawyer Anderson threw for 86 yards and two touchdowns. Tony Dewitt was his top target, picking up 58 receiving yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 37 yards. On the ground, Tyion Francis rushed for 40 yards.

St. Paul's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances.
