Basketball Recap: Peters Township's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Saturday

Peters Township's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the West Allegheny Indians by a score of 56-45. Given Peters Township's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while West Allegheny is ranked 264th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Peters Township's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for West Allegheny, they dropped their record down to 4-5 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Peters Township will face off against Trinity at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Peters Township is facing Trinity at the right time seeing as Trinity is stuck on a three-game losing streak. West Allegheny and Laurel Highlands will round out the year against one another at at 1:30 p.m. on Monday. Laurel Highlands is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.7 points per game this season.
