Preview: Fallston Cougars vs. Notre Dame Prep
The Fallston Cougars will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Notre Dame Prep at 6:45 p.m. Hopefully Fallston focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Monday.
Fallston posted their biggest victory yet this season on Monday. They claimed a resounding 53-22 victory over Havre de Grace at home.
Ayla Galloway was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Fallston's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Burns, who scored 12 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Notre Dame Prep unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They were outmatched by Gerstell Academy at home and fell 55-25. Notre Dame Prep has struggled against Gerstell Academy recently, as their contest on Monday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Fallston has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Notre Dame Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
Fallston came out on top in a nail-biter against Notre Dame Prep when the teams last played back in February of 2020, sneaking past 32-30. Will Fallston repeat their success, or does Notre Dame Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
