Volleyball Recap: Lyman Takes a Loss

After flying high against East River last Thursday, Lyman came back down to earth. The Greyhounds fell just short of the Winter Springs Bears by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. If the Greyhounds were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Bears when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lyman took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 19-25, 20-25, 25-15, 15-10.

The defeat snapped Lyman's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-8 record. As for Winter Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Lyman didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Oviedo on the 23rd. As for Winter Springs, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against University on the 23rd.
