            Softball Recap: Lexington Tigers vs. Athens Golden Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Lexington's tournament run continued when they took on Athens  on Saturday. The Tigers fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of  8-7. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Holly Bartholomew made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went a perfect 3-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. Another player making a difference was  Carly Williams, who  went 2-for-3 with three  runs and one  double.
Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 25-12-2. As for Athens, the  win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 24-12.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lexington will face off against Scotts Hill at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Athens, they will square off against Huntsville at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
