Basketball Recap: Chicago Christian Extends Winning Streak to Four

Chicago Christian came tearing into Saturday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 34-32 win over the Argo Argonauts. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered a 49-36 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Chicago Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Naima Hogue out in front who went 5 for 9 on her way to 12 points and eight rebounds. That's the most boards Hogue has posted since back in January of 2024. Imani Frazier was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to six steals and five rebounds.

Chicago Christian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season. As for Argo, they moved to 11-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Chicago Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-42 defeat against Chicago Hope Academy on the 20th. As for Argo, they will venture away from home to take on Shepard at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
