Baseball Recap: Ellington Finds Playoff Glory Versus O'brien RVT

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Ellington had no problem doing just that on Monday. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the O'Brien RVT Condors. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Dylan Killoran made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and not a single walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jack Weigand, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Chase Thomas was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Ellington's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-7. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for O'Brien RVT, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Ellington nor O'Brien RVT have any future games scheduled.
